Pioneers of 1x bike frames, 3T, are not afraid to do something differently and they have looked to do just that with their latest 3T Strada offering which they’ve created especially for the Haute Route series.
Taking their funky Strada, 3T have given the iconic red paint job an overhaul with a new bright orange fade that will certainly catch the eye.
Teaming up with intense endurance event, Haute Route series, the Italian company wanted to celebrate the event’s new three day format that took their popular seven day set up but made it more accessible.
“When we heard that the Haute Route organisation planned to extend the series with a new, shorter, 3-day format, we asked ourselves ‘How would our Strada bike go on a course like this?’ We reckoned Strada’s 1x transmission and supreme aerodynamics would make it just about perfect. There was only one way to find out!” 3T co-owner, Rene Wiertz, said in a blog post.
While the in-your-face paint job is quite a stark switch up, the new bike also comes with a nifty package that will see any bike bought enter the rider into the Haute Route’s two new three day events in France: Haute Route Alpe d’Huez (13–15 July) and Haute Route Ventoux (5–7 October).
After releasing their “more affordable” Strada PRO earlier this year, you can buy one of these limited edition Haute Series Strada in the PRO set up, which utilises SRAM Force 1 groupset and 3T Discus C35 PRO wheels. For €5000 you’ll get all this and entrance into one of the two rides.
If you fancy upgrading up to the original Strada Team, you’ll get a similar set up with a THM cockpit and Torno crank as well as full race entry and hotel accommodation, all for €7800.
