Lotto Soudal will once again change their kit specifically for a big race as they rename themselves “New Lotto Soudal” for the 105th Tour de France that kicks off on 7 July.
Having previously changed their name to Lotto FixAll at the Giro d’Italia and sporting a grey jersey for the three week Grand Tour, the Belgian team is set to do it again as they celebrate their titular sponsor’s 40th birthday.
The Belgian national lottery worked with New Lotto Soudal to create their kit which will do away with the red and white chevron that the riders have come accustomed to, instead having an all read torso.
Where as their Lotto FixAll team name was used to promote a type of sealant sold by co-sponsor Soudal, this new name change is being used to promote the lottery in their native Belgium which has slashed odds of winning from 25 to 1, down to 11 to 1.
New Lotto Soudal aren’t the only people who are swapping out kits for the race with Team Sky having worn a special kit for the Tour de France last year and are set to do it again as they teamed up with Sky Ocean Rescue.
Dutch team LottoNL-Jumbo have also created a new look for La Grande Boucle showcasing an inverted black and yellow design.
